Project Overview
Al Naaji International Establishment · ISO 9001 & ISO 41001
Project Timeline · February–April 2016
Al Naaji is a Muscat facility management and manpower company with 250+ staff working at client sites in Rusayl Industrial Area. Its key client, Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives, required ISO 9001 and ISO 41001. Al Naaji had no structured management system and faced worker-safety and policy-awareness risks at client sites.
Consultancy Support
Between February and April 2016, our team ran the gap analysis and built the HR files and procedures. We also produced the risk assessment, and trained staff on toolbox meetings, PPE and internal audits. A mock audit followed.
Audit and Corrective Actions
The certification audit raised only minor findings, a legal register and an environmental-impact list, which Al Naaji closed within two weeks.

How ISO Certification Works in Oman
A clear five-step approach to prepare your management system, support your team and get ready for an independent certification audit.
Free Call & Gap Analysis
We review how you work today and what your tender or client requires.
Documentation
We write the policies, procedures and records around your real processes, not a template.
Training & System Implementation
Your team uses the system day to day; we train staff and in-house auditors.
Internal Audit & Management Review
We audit you as the certification body will, and fix the gaps.
Certification Audit
An accredited body such as Bureau Veritas, SGS or LMS audits you and issues the certificate. We attend and help you close any findings.
ISO management-system certificates commonly follow a three-year cycle, with surveillance audits scheduled during that period. Requirements depend on the certification body and applicable scheme.
The 4–8 week period is an indicative preparation estimate, not a guaranteed certification deadline. Actual duration depends on the selected standard, business size, scope, readiness and audit scheduling.
Why Omani Companies Get Certified
From oil and gas operations to food processing and port logistics, ISO management systems help businesses address customer expectations, operational risks and industry requirements across Oman.
Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals
Contractors, engineering firms and suppliers serving Oman's energy sector may need to demonstrate strong quality, environmental and workplace safety controls.
Construction & Infrastructure
Building contractors, MEP companies and infrastructure service providers can use ISO systems to strengthen project quality, site safety and environmental management.
Food Processing & Fisheries
Food manufacturers, seafood processors, catering companies and hospitality businesses can use food safety systems to control hazards and support customer and market requirements.
Ports & Supply Chain Operations
Shipping companies, freight operators, warehouses and logistics providers can improve service consistency, operational safety and environmental controls through suitable management systems.
A client's demand Large clients push the requirement down their supply chain. That is how Al Naaji came to us: Areej Vegetable Oils required ISO 9001 and ISO 41001 from its manpower supplier.
Industry examples are indicative, not a statement that every business or contract requires these standards. Always check the specific customer, tender, regulator or supplier qualification requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers about ISO certification costs, audits, accreditation, local support and certification services in Oman.
How much does ISO certification cost in Oman?
For ISO 9001, consultancy fees are typically 300–500 OMR for businesses with 1–10 employees, 500–1,000 OMR for 11–50 employees, and 1,000–2,000 OMR for 51–200 employees. The certification body's fee is separate and may start from approximately 500 OMR. See the full table above.
Can I get an ISO certificate without an audit?
No. An accredited ISO certificate always requires an audit by a certification body. Offers "without audit" come from unaccredited issuers, and Omani tender committees and oil and gas operators can reject them.
Do you have an office in Oman?
Yes. MaxiCert's Oman office is at Office 8, Al Maydan Plaza, Al Kuleih Street, Way 4103, Muscat, and has served Omani clients since 2020.
Can I pay for ISO certification services in OMR?
Yes. Omani clients can receive quotations and invoices in Omani Rial (OMR). Payment arrangements and applicable terms will be confirmed in your quotation.
Can you provide a local client reference in Oman?
We have supported approximately 50 Omani companies, and with their permission we can put you in touch with one in your sector.
Is your ISO certificate accredited?
The certificate is issued by an independent accredited certification body, such as Bureau Veritas, SGS or LMS, not by MaxiCert. You can check certificate information through IAF CertSearch.
Someone is offering a lower price. Why should I choose MaxiCert?
Ask any provider three questions: who issues the certificate, is that body accredited, and are the yearly surveillance audits included? Many cheap offers fail one of these. Our quotes answer all three in writing.
